Gaming Update 12/17/12

Greetings all, it’s been a good while since I have written a blog as I have been dealing with some family issues and still plugging away trying to find work. I wanted to write one before the end of the year though.
Around Thanksgiving, a family member of mine (who was been heavy into drugs) became suicidal and tried a couple of times to kill himself. It was very hard on me and my family. We were forced to put him into a facility and he is out now and living with us. It has been a struggle…I don't really want to go into it too much though.
On the job front, I had a couple interviews and am waiting to hear back. I have also had two more companies call me, so I am hopeful that I will land a job soon. I have an interview on Wednesday, so doing my research and getting ready to put myself in the best position walking into that.
I have been able to do some gaming through all that though and here is what I have up to:
CURRENTLY PLAYING

Completed: Mass Effect 3 (PS3)

I seemed to blaze through this game very quickly and I believe it is because I enjoyed it so much. There have been very few games in the past couple of years that I sit and next thing I know, 3 hours have passed. I loved every second I put into Mass Effect 3 and yes I even thought the ending was good. I did download the extended cut so I guess I never saw the “real” ending, but I found it fitting. I feel like starting the trilogy all over again now that I have beat it, but figured I better cut into my backlog though. This is easily the game I have enjoyed the most in 2012 and is also up there with my favorite games of all time. Mass Effect 3 will always be my personal GAME OF THE YEAR because it was the most fun with a video game I have had in a while.

The multiplayer in this game is phenominal as well. I will admit that when I first heard that multiplayer was being added to a Mass Effect game, I really skeptical and pretty much just wrote it off. Once I got playing it though, I became addicted. The real draw to the multiplayer is earning cash and buying the booster packs because they will yield random "loot" such as weapons, ammo mods and other abilites to use in later rounds. There are constantly events on the weekends and it just has been handled very well in my opinion.

I will most likely NOT buy any of the DLC for this game because so far from what I have seen, none of it seems worthwhile. Lair of the Shadowbroker for Mass Effect 2 was probably the best DLC of all time in my opinion and ME3 just has slopped out pretty bad DLC. I am not really a regular purchaser of DLC anyways (except Call of Duty map packs, yes I am one of those guys, lol).

Batman: Arkham City (PS3)

I have been wanting to play this since I watched the awesome trailer and finally have begun. I am like an hour into it at this point, so not far at all. It is very similar to Arkham Asylum and that’s not a knock against it at all. In Arkham Asylum I managed to solve all the Riddler puzzles and I hope that I will be able to in this one; I have heard there is like 400 though, which sounds overwhelming.

So far I am enjoying my time with this game. I have found recently that open world games tend to lose my interest pretty quickly. So that is one negative I am experiencing while playing this game. While playing Assassin's Creed II, I had a similar experience. I have been gaming for a while, most of my life (over 20 years) and I guess I like to be told what to do and where to go, lol. So open world games tend to not interest me as much.

The combat in Arkham City is what keeps me interested though. I love the combo and time based battle system. Every battle I walk into I try for the Freeflow Perfection trophy (use all special moves in a single combo), it's really fun.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PS3)

I knew before this game was even released that I would be playing it as much as I do at this point. I love the multiplayer in this game (I have not yet touched the single player). The original Black Ops is my favorite Call of Duty game and this game reminds me why.

I have only played the zombies mode like 2 times which is surprising to me, but I am sure that will change soon. This game is perfect for jumping in and playing a few matches and done. Enjoying this a lot more than Modern Warfare 3…

RECENT PURCHASES

Mass Effect (PS3, digital)

First of all, I already own this game for Xbox 360, but I had to buy this as a huge fan of the Mass Effect trilogy. With this purchase I hope to start the trilogy over again and completely change every decision I made in the series and carry it all the way through to the end on PS3. I remember this game being really tough for some reason. One part I remember not liking this about this game was driving the vehicle, not sure why, I just never enjoyed it.

I never completed this game on Xbox 360, I am pretty sure I was close to the end though. I bought Mass Effect 2 for PS3 and watched the digital comic, so I know how it ends and what happened, but I am still interested in finding out first hand.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (PS3)

I had to buy this because it was on sale for $10 and it also includes the original Assassin’s Creed which I was never able to complete (see above about open world games). I popped in Assassin's Creed: Revelations and it has a pretty awesome intro movie:
Vidoes will not work at this moment so please click: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV-7kk0Mwrc

I recently completed Assassin’s Creed II (and got the platnium trophy), so I am confident that I will enjoy both these games even though I have heard that AC1 and AC2 are different. I have AC: Brotherhood, so I am conflicted whether to play through Brotherhood or the original Assassin's Creed. I will get to Revelations after both of those, I have a while until that point, I just picked this up while it was on sale.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition (Xbox 360)

I have been hearing alot about this game and I was thinking about it for a while whether to buy this for Xbox 360 or PC. My PC is more than capable of running the game maxed out, I just prefer consoles though and also a controller. I hardly ever buy Xbox 360 games anymore so I just picked it up on sale (of course) for $15.

Above I mentioned that Assassin's Creed: Revelations had an awesome intro. Well the optional intro video for The Witcher 2 is even better (watch below). That is on a whole another level! I have quite the backlog and cannot wait to play this awesome looking game. It seems to fit my taste likely from what I have read about the decision making and how it will affect the story later on. Nonetheless, I am very excited to play it!

2012 Spike Video Game Awards (VGAs)

I just wanted to comment very quickly on the recent Spike VGAs. I think them handing their Game of the Year Award to The Walking Dead was a huge surprise. I mean the games were good, but I cannot believe something like Dishonored or Borderlands 2 were not given the award. It’s their (or the fans?) choice, so I don’t take it personally, it was just surprising.

Speaking of surprising, how about the Phantom Pain trailer and also the announcement of Dark Souls II? Phantom Pain looks like Metal Gear to me and I say that with no hesitation, and I totally believe that it is a marketing tactic for the next Metal Gear game which excites me because it looks like a new direction in the MGS series. I know there are those out there who are sick of the Metal Gear Franchise, but I cannot get enough of it. The announcement of Dark Souls II is cool, I haven’t played the first one yet, but I want to, so I am not as excited about the sequel yet.

The new trailer for the Last of Us looked pretty awesome too. I love the look of the game and atmosphere. Definitely looking forward to that game!

CONCLUSION
So now that 2012 is ending, I have been thinking about what is next for me. I hope that my job situation will change here in the near future, which means I will most likely be moving. A lot of change is ahead for me and I hope that it is all for the better.

On the gaming end, I really feel the need to go back and play series which made me the gamer I am today. Metal Gears, Megamans, Devil May Crys, Splinter Cells, Onimushas, Final Fantasys, Xenogears and even NES, SNES and Sega Genesis games. I may be periodically playing them and will include those experiences in my future blogs.

This will most likely be my last blog of the year so I hope everyone the best during the holidays and happy new year!

Gaming Update 11/12/12

Hello all, thought I would throw up a quick update on what I have been up to. On the personal side, I remain unemployed (*sigh*) at the moment, I am waiting to hear back on an interview that I had a little over a week ago and I did follow up with them already. Interestingly, my former employer called me the day before that interview and would like me to come back and work with them again (yes!) but they will let me know when that time comes. It is contract work (my former employer) basically for those who haven’t read my past blogs, so once that term is up (6-24 months) you are laid off; the pay was excellent though. I am seeking to get off the contract work though, which is what the company I interviewed with is offering, permanent employment.
In the meantime, besides gaming, I have been helping my sister move and working with my parents on their rentals (roofed a whole house in two days), so that has been keeping me busy. The Hawaii trip (last blog) was badly needed and my skin is still peeling. Just taking each day at a time and seeing what/where is next for me.
On the gaming side:

Currently playing

Mass Effect 3

After finally completing Assassin’s Creed II, I went through the backlog and there are some games I have been really looking forward to playing;#1 on that list was Mass Effect 3. Dues Ex: Human Revolution and Batman: Arkham City are a couple others. The Mass Effect series is my favorite this generation and when I started up this game, it all came back to me why.

The story and gameplay are so engrossing and I have loved every second I have put into this game so far. And with that I completely intend to include the multiplayer, it’s just as great. I have put more time into the multiplayer and have maxed out two characters so far! I love co-op games and this is basically horde mode for Mass Effect, but I love that you buy boxes which give random loot and more expensive the box, the rarer the loot. Loving this game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3/ Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PS3)

No surprises here, been playing Modern Warfare 3 (multiplayer) since it’s release; for the first time since I have been buying Call of Duty games ( I started at COD4: Modern Warfare), I did not touch the campaign at all. I just never got around to it, I will though one day. I decided to include Black Ops 2 because I will officially be switching to that
game tomorrow! I was cleaning out my wallet a week or so ago and found that I had an unused $50 gift card, which I will be using for Black Ops 2! I play Call of Duty year round, so those of you that do, feel free to add me.

Left 4 Dead 2 (PC, Steam)

Sucked back into this game! I love Left 4 Dead and the Versus Mode is bliss if you are with a group of people who work together. I started playing this one night, before I knew it, like 4 hours had gone by. Awesome game.

Recent purchases:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PS3)

Will be using my $50 gift card to pick this up tomorrow! Technically I don’t own it yet, but I did preorder it for the Nuketown 2025 map, so I guess that counts. I will easily pay the $60 for the Call of Duty games because I play them year round and have made many friends in the games. Cannot wait to play the campaign, multiplayer and zombies!

Gamefly PC downloads

Gamefly had an awesome deal on Valve games for PC download. I bought Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Portal and Portal 2 all for $11! It feels nice to have a PC that can run games well and I have been wanting to play through Half Life 2 and Portal games forever!

That’s all I got for you this time, been trying to write some blogs with free time, it’s funny though, still can’t find the time even though I am unemployed. Cannot wait until Black Friday, really debating buying a new LED TV. I really want to buy Okami HD on PSN, I want to see if it goes on sale in the near future though first, especially since I am a Playstation Plus subscriber. Thank you for reading!

Gaming Update 10/27/13

INTRO

Hello all,
Just thought I would throw together a quick update since I
haven’t in a while. So last time you heard from me, I was getting prepared for
my trip to Hawaii (Kauai to be exact) and it was awesome! The weather over
there was perfect. While over there I scheduled lots of activities to keep busy
and had a great time. This included: kayaking, ride on catamaran, golf,
helicopter, hiking, snorkeling and just hanging out on the beach. I will throw
some pictures below.

Thats me on the catamaran (Above)

As you may also know, I am currently unemployed, but found
hope in that I have an interview next week that I am really looking forward to.
It is for a big company and I heard they tend to work you a lot of hours, which
may affect my gaming life, but one does have to make a living first and
foremost.
On the gaming side of things, here is what I have been up
to:

RECENTLY PLAYING

Assassin’s Creed II

I beat this game finally, and the ending sure is crazy.
Three words describe the ending “what the fuck?”. Exactly my thoughts, because
it seems to come out of nowhere. I am not sure exactly how long it took me to
beat the game, but it did kind of start out slow and picked up as I went. I
would say I enjoyed it. My trophy status stands at 92% and I am considering
just going in and trying for the platinum trophy (it would only be my 4th).
What concerns me about it though is finding all 100 of those feathers, I am
thinking that will take more time that I want to spend; I have like 30 at the
moment.

Now is that tough decision of what game do I want to play
next out of the ridiculous backlog I have. Some choices: Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3, Batman: Arkham
City, Dues Ex: Human Revolution, Dark Souls, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and
too many others (those I listed I am leaning towards though). Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

God of War HD Collection

One of my recent pickups (see below) has inspired me to play
through the God of War games again. I started off with the original God of War
in HD. This game looks great in HD and I
remember why I love this game, everything about it is thought through and
detailed. The story is interesting and the gameplay is right on. I can’t stop
playing it seems sometimes. I upped the difficulty to Spartan (Hard) and there
are some tough parts, but for the most part I haven’t had much trouble, yet. I
am sure that will change on the final boss, he was always very tough for me for
some reason.

Playstation All-Starts Battle Royale

Very quickly, I just wanted to mention I played through the
Beta for this game and give you my thoughts. This game is a lot like Super
Smash Brothers and I have no problem with that at all. I played mainly as
Kratos and colonel Radec. Kratos (to me) seems to have the best moves and I
like how the pulled a lot of his combos from the GOW series. The changing
backgrounds are awesome. After playing the beta, I think this game is fun, I
just don’t know if I would throw down $60 for it. Maybe once the price drops.

RECENT PURCHASES:
God of War: Origins Collection

This is the game that has inspired me to play through the
GOW series again. I bought it as my local Wal-Mart for $8. Will be playing
through this as I run through the entire series.

PSN Halloween sale
House of the Dead pack (HOTD 3, HOTD 4, HOTD: Overkill) -
$15
I have wanted to pick up HOTD: Overkill for a while now
because it is a great game for the Move and I have played it before at my
friend’s house. This deal was great because you get it plus two others!

CONCLUSION
There is my quick update! I plan on buying Call of Duty:
Black Ops II day one by the way, so that will be taking a lot of gaming time
for me in the future. I have a lot of friends I have made on those games and
will happily buy them at full price because I play them for the entire year
they are relevant. Add me on PSN if you want to play that or anything else.
Happy Halloween!

Gaming Update 9/27/12

Hello all, this is officially my second blog. The past month has been pretty interesting in the gaming world and a lot of change is ahead of me in my personal life.

As far as my personal world, I am on the verge of being laid off which is no big deal, see I am a contract employee and my contract end date is approaching quickly (this Friday!). I was employed longer than expected, so I am gracious to have been there as long as I have been. I have a trip to Hawaii planned for mid-October and it will be my first time going there, really looking forward to it! After that is the stress inducing task of looking for employment, but to be honest I have never had immense amount of trouble looking for work, so advice to anyone in college is to; first off graduate and second of all, make connections! With the search for work in mind, also I have to also remember is that I will most likely have to move, so change of location and work is approaching quickly!
With that said, in my upcoming down time, I will have the chance to finally catch up a little bit on my backlog! So here what is going on in the gaming sides of things:

NEWS (THAT’S IMPORTANT TO ME)

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

To say that I just like the Metal Gear Solid franchise would be an understatement! I adore the series and to me, they are the best games made to this day. So when Ground Zeroes was announced out of nowhere, it seemed as though I couldn’t read enough about it, I want to know more and more!

Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Zombie Campaign Trailer

The original Call of Duty: Black Ops is where I was personally exposed to ZOMBIES and boy was it awesome. The above trailer takes everything about ZOMBIES I loved and throws in a story, “buildables” and custom modes where some players can even play as the zombies.

“The biggest change to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Zombie gameplay comes in the form of its campaign mode. Titled Tranzit, this tosses you and up to three of your friends into the biggest world the team at Treyarch has ever created for Zombies. Your goal in Tranzit is simple: kill all the undead that you come across and leave a trail of bodies in your wake. You and your team jump between a number of locales along the way, doing what appears to be defensive stands and clearing them out before moving on to the next place….

If Tranzit doesn't sound like your thing, if you're the type of person that just wants to hop in with friends and defend a single position, you'll be pleased to hear that Survival mode is returning with Black Ops 2. Playable either solo or with three friends, Survival offers the classic survival experience wherein you build defenses and hold out…

Cooperative play isn't for everyone, and while Black Ops 2 will feature a competitive multiplayer mode as well, Treyarch's also developing a new take on competitive play for Zombies called Grief. Internally the team at Treyarch likes to refer to Grief as "4z4," because unlike traditional competitive games both sides have to deal with a third party that wants their brains -- the Zombies.”

Source: http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/26/call-of-duty-black-ops-2-everything-we-know-about-zombies

I get that the Call of Duty franchise is not for everybody, but I have been playing since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and I spend a lot of time online in the multiplayer matches. The original Black Ops was also my favorite entry into the series, so I am pretty stoked about this game.
The easter eggs in the ZOMBIES mode are random, complicated but awesome nonetheless. Though some might not like to hear this, but I will happily plop down $60 for Black Ops II on release day (which I never do) because I know I will be playing it for a year at the least!

Mass Effect Trilogy announced

“BioWare has announced the Mass Effect Trilogy Compilation, bringing the original Mass Effect to PlayStation 3 for the first time. The set will combine all three Mass Effect titles into one package and will launch on Xbox 360 and PC on November 6th for $59.99. A PlayStation 3 version will follow, though a specific date hasn’t been announced just yet…”

Source: http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/26/mass-effect-trilogy-set-announced

BioWare will also release the original Mass Effect as a standalone title via PlayStation Network, though an exact date hasn’t been announced for that either.

The big deal here is that the original Mass Effect game will be coming to PS3! I own the original for Xbox 360, but have ME2 and ME3 for PS3. It will be awfully tempting to sell my current copies of the game to buy this Trilogy and have all the games for PS3.

RUMOR: Onimusha 4 is in development

“We haven't seen a new game in the Onimusha series since 2006. But it's not for lack of interest from Capcom. In fact, rumors are starting to surface that a new game in the series is on the way from a Western developer.

Specifically, it's being developed by Spark Unlimited, which is working on Lost Planet 3 and much to the surprise of many also on the Ninja Gaiden spinoff Yaiba. It is known that Spark is working with Capcom on an "adventure series reboot", but which franchise is getting a new lease on life hasn't been identified yet.

If this is true, it wouldn't be entirely without precedent. Series mastermind Yoshinori Ono has noted before that he'd like to bring the franchise back, especially with a stronger multiplayer component, and the franchise has no lack of fans both East and West.”

Source: http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/30405/rumor-onimusha-4-in-the-works

I always enjoyed the Onimusha games, especially Genma Onimusha because of the tug-of-war system with the green souls. Onimusha 3 has one of the best intro movies in gaming and the series overall is a lot of fun. I am interested in hearing more information as it comes available.

CURRENTLY PLAYING

Assassin’s Creed II (PS3)

In my last blog, I had basically just started this game, learning the mechanics and combat system. To be fair, a majority of the combat for me in this game has been counter attacking, which is what I commonly hear as a gripe about this game, and I have to say that the complaints are justified. Counter attacking seems like the only effective way to eliminate enemies (besides assassinating).

But despite that gripe, the game has grown on me a bit; I have been enjoying taking on assassin missions and climbing to viewpoints. I have done two assassin’s tombs so far, so I am still guessing that I have a while to go. Looking at the trophies (which always helps me judge progress), I can see that I have completed DNA sequence #4 of the 14 possible. I am guessing the length of this game depends entirely on how long you get wrapped up in the side missions, which seems pretty obvious. One frustrating thing that’s been happening to me a lot is when free-running, Ezio just leaps on the ground from high distances and taking damage when I simply mean to grab a ledge or hop to the next building, but I think that is more my fault then the game’s. So I will continue on with this game…

Double Dragon: Neon (PSN)

I got this game for free through Playstation Plus and the first word to come to mind when describing it; tough. It is an interesting mix of both old and new as far as I am concerned. What makes this game tough is that when you are fighting an opponent, the other enemies are not shy to cut-in and swarm you. Maybe I haven’t quite learned the right way to go about it yet. Enemies drop cassette tapes which you can equip for abilities and super moves, that is pretty cool.

The first thing that jumps out at anyone who plays this game is that it does not take itself too seriously. The enemies, levels and all seem goofy. Even the main adversary, Skullmageddon, has a high-pitched and annoying voice and spouts off cheesy one liners. It’s all in good fun though, I have enjoyed the bit of time I have had with the game. I have not played co-op yet, but I bet this game is much more pleasing that way. I don’t know if the game is worth $10 though, I would say it would differ with taste, as with anything. I’ll put it this way, if I had to pay for this game, I wouldn’t own it.

Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3)

As a fan of both Tekken and Street Fighter, the announcement of this game came to me as both exciting and surprising. Street Fighter IV is an awesome game, I just wish they hadn’t released multiple versions of it and segmented the audience (atleast Arcade Edition is compatible with Super though). This game is basically Street Fighter IV with Tekken characters in it and a tag system. My favorite characters include: Paul Phoenix, Chun-Li, Hwoarang, Sakura, Jin and Rufus.

I have never really been good at fighting games, but I do enjoy them. That being said, I go to play this game online and get completely annihilated! I can appreciate a fair match in which I get my ass whooped, but what I cannot stand are the people who spam projectile attacks or just cheap in general. This game is plagued with that online, which really sucks, because I would love to play competitively online. And this is the exact reason why I wish every fighting game made it mandatory to have a survival mode (which this game does not!). That being said, I still enjoy the game and the characters, although Mega Man seems kind of out of place…

Capcom should be releasing the other characters soon (12 more characters for $20!), but in my opinion, it is too late. Everyone who is into this game has others on their radar or on the verge of moving on. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 looks awesome, it has a survival mode, and it is a sequel to one of my favorite games of all time. And they will be supporting the game with FREE DLC, Capcom should take note here. I will play Street Fighter X Tekken though until Tekken Tag Tournament 2 drops in price.

Resident Evil 6 (DEMO, PSN)

After playing through the Resent Evil 6 demo for about 20 minutes, I would say the game is worth buying, but not at $60. To me, it’s too similar to RE5. I found it annoying when I was trying to line up head shots (with Leon) and my partner starts blasting away totally screwing up my aim. One thing I have to say is that the graphics look awesome in this game. The fact that there will be four campaigns or something like that seems like a cool idea, and I would definitely say I am interested in the game. The Agent Hunter mode where other players can jump into your game is also awesome and it’s nice to see some new things being brought to the franchise. The thing though is that I will always miss the horror aspect of the series in the first three games, when the games where actually scary/weird and you were on your toes when walking through the creepy atmosphere. This game is on my radar for sure…

RECENT PURCHASES

Asura’s Wrath (PS3)

This game is on sale at Newegg.com at this moment for (16$), which is exactly about where I was waiting for it to drop to. I have been interested in this game since it’s announcement. One disappointing thing though is that you have to buy the ending as DLC. Really Capcom? Although that is disappointing, part of me is glad that Capcom releases new, original games like this (and Remember Me).

Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS3)

I bought this game because it was on sale extremely cheap ($13). I am definitely a fan of the Final Fantasy series and this game seems like a must own for me. I have yet to play through Final Fantasy XIII, but atleast I know this will be waiting for me for when I complete it. I have heard of this game being compared to Pokemon in a way, which seems very intriguing.

Humble Indie Bundle VI (PC)

Games: Rochard, Torchlight, Shatter, S.P.A.Z. (Space Pirates and Zombies), Vessel, Dustforce

I am new to the PC gaming arena and saw the Humble Indie Bundles before, only to say “if only my PC would run games decently”. With my new PC, that is finally a possibility. I almost bought Torchlight alone for $10 so this was a chance to get it with some other games for a great deal. The only games I have installed on my PC at this time are Torchlight and Shatter. I have heard Torchlight allows you to mod the game at will, I was wondering if anyone out there is savvy with where I could locate some cool (cosmetic at first) mods for this game. Eventually I will be playing all the games, but I for now, Torchlight is the game to play.

ON MY RADAR:

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Day one buy, no doubt about it. Cannot wait to hear about where they are going with the story, gameplay and concepts. Release can never be close enough.

Dishonored

This game reminds me a lot of the first Bioshock for some reason. The tone is dark and the game just demands my attention. Cannot wait to play it…

Borderlands 2

Borderlands is one of my favorite games this gen. I will wait to pick up the sequel though until the “Game of the Year” edition with all extra content is released. I have plenty to keep me busy until then…

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

The original Black Ops was my favorite in the series. With every bit leaked about this game, the more excited I get. This will be a day one buy for me…

Bioshock: Infinite

It is a shame that this game was pushed into next year. I have a big backlog to keep me busy, but this remains my most anticipated game in a while…

Okami HD

I missed this game entirely and it looks very good! Next month I believe it will be released on PSN and I will definitely be picking it up.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist

This game really intrigues me. I have been a fan of the Splinter Cell games since the first and never played the last one (can’t remember the name at the moment).

CLASSIC GAMING

Valkyrie Profile (PS1)

I have been interested in some of the older PS1 classic RPGs and I realized that Valkyrie Profile looks exactly like the type of game for me! I have never played it but it sure looks fun.

Maybe some of you who have played it can assure or warn me, but nonetheless I will be looking to possibly pick it up.

Thanks to anyone who can help! The PS1 sure was a gold mine for great role playing games, some of my favorite include: Final Fantasy series, Legend of Dragoon, Xenogears, Legend of Legaia, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Tatics and Star Ocean: Second Story.

Thanks to everyone for reading!
